INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED ACTING
For Teens/Adults: Ages 15 and UP

This process-oriented class will begin simply, using non-verbal cues and exercises designed to boost spontaneity and confidence. Working alone, in pairs, and in groups, student actors will find the joy and a new perspective of soaring along without the restraints of text while making intimate connections on the stage.

KIDS IMPROV TECHNIQUE FOR FILM & TV
(Ages 8-15)

Do you want to be on-camera? Do you want to learn improvisation, an indispensable skill in today's commercial market? Do you want to participate in student films? Then this is the class for you! Focusing on the current casting trends for children, this class helps you to "think on your feet" in any audition situation. From theatre games, mock auditions, to writing and producing sketch shows in the vein of "Saturday Night Live" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," this class focuses on the ability to use Improv skills to develop characters from start to finish.This is the foundation that every actor needs. Its goal is to make children marketable in today's entertainment world!
This class is appropriate for beginners and the most advanced alike!

BREAKING INTO THE BUSINESS: (For Parents)

This seminar takes the mystery out of the process of promoting your child (or yourself) as an actor in The MID ATLANTIC and helps you drum up enthusiasm for their services. The concepts presented apply equally well to theater, film, TV, and voice-over work.

The Big Picture! With all the new films, television shows, commercials...you name it, coming into VIRGINIA you'd better be comfortable in front of the camera!!
Utilizing actual film copy and monologues in a supportive and creative environment, students will work on-camera with playback, as they learn the skill set required to create a character, how to audition for,
and work, on film. The class work will target character development, reading & analyzing scripts, technical requirements of the camera, working with props, continuity, and other skills.
Upon completion of this intensive course, each student will have knowledge and hands-on skills for character and script analysis will be able to communicate character and story with the technical
requirements of acting on-camera, and the confidence and technique gained from the class work to audition and thrive on film.
